6 Hosting Cities of this year’s U-17 FIFA World Cup
As the second most populous country prepares itself to host the 17th edition of the under 17 world cup, we can’t help but notice the impressive infrastructure coming up.
The 6 host cities being New Dehli, Guwahati, Kolkata, Kochi, Goa and Navi Mumbai are all getting their own world class facilities along with infrastructure matching the FIFA global standards.
The headquarters of the association is set to come up in the capital city whereas the technical center is to come up in Bangalore alongside the superior class football training academies in Kolkata, Goa and Delhi to recognize and support upcoming talent in the U-14 category and also to refine the selected players and groom them for the international events yet to come.
Out of the 24 participating teams, 5 teams including the hosts (India), Iraq, Iran, Japan and Korea DPR have already qualified.
India is making full fledged preparations to welcome the other teams qualifying through the UEFA European world U-17 championship taking place in Croatia from 3rd to 19th May, with full confidence.
