Bengaluru – Bengaluru FC got their pre-season training underway in preparation for their debut ISL season. Training took place at the Bengaluru Football Stadium, which hosted the clubs home games in their first ever I-league season.
Coach Albert Roca overlooked the entire session along with the rest of the coaching staff. The first training focused almost entirely on endurance and stamina. With the aim of testing the fitness levels of the returning players and the new faces.
The session was open to fans and although the BFC faithful turned out few in number, they made their voice heard and chanted some of the famous club chants, along with a few new ones as a welcome gesture to the new signings.
The fans who turned up got a glimpse of the club’s new signings, although they couldn’t watch their new boys show off their technical skills just yet.
After the day was done, the squad interacted with the fans for a few minutes, making their day by posing for photographs and handing out autographs.
Club captain Sunil Chhetri went one step further as he galvanized the crowd, asking for the fans to show the same faith they’ve kept the last four years. Although he highlighted the difficulties the team is facing with an almost new squad and extremely less preparation time. However, he assured the fans that everyone who wears the BFC shirt will give their best and hoped the fans could reciprocate.
