India U-16 were held to a 2-2 draw by hosts Nepal in the AFC U-16 qualifier match held at the Halchowk stadium in Kathmandu.

The match witnessed all the goals in the final 14 minutes, India conceded first in the 76th, they then went on to take the lead thanks to a brace from substitute Harpreet Singh, it was not enough to clinch the victory though as they conceded a minute after scoring their second.

India are now second in their group (D) with 4 points from two matches, Iraq lead the group with 6 points.

India will play their final group game facing the leaders Iraq on September 24th 2017.
