Jamshedpur FC have so far a good result in their debut season of the Hero ISL with three goalless draws, including today’s against ATK who have lost 1 and drew two. Home fans were in numbers to welcome their team at the new stadium, JRD Tata Sports Complex, for the first time.

Jamshedpur FC kicked-off the first half with immediately making an attack on ATK’s goal. Doutie tried a run inside ATK box and went down easily, dived in rather, and was appealing for a penalty. Referee for the evening, Santosh Kumar was alert and denied Doutie’s appeal and let the game continue.

First shot on goal came in the 11th minute by Jamshedpur’s Memo. His long range attempt went over cross bar without causing damage to ATK. Jamshedpur were on the attacking mode with building up attacks in regular time intervals. On the other end, Robin Singh found tussling around with Jamshedpur’s tough defense and referee spotting them all and giving free-kicks when required.

In the 27th minute, a small push by Doutie on ATK’s Tom Thorpe was ignored by the referee and allowed Doutie to get the ball. His pass to Belfort allowed him to dribble few steps and take a shot. But the shot hit was right to the legs of ATK’s defender, and came to Doutie who cleverly passed on to Jerry who was free to his right. Jerry tried his luck with a shot, but he blasted the shot into the side netting. ATK’s players were furious on referee because of his bad judgment.

Two minutes later, ATK won a free-kick. The resulting free-kick did not give any results to the visitors, but opened a counter attack for the home team. Jerry again on the ball, made a run into the box making space for himself to take a shot. His shot was blocked by the ATK’s goalkeeper, Jussi Jaaskelainen. Jerry was denied again and was disappointed.

Jamshedpur’s previuos match saw a great battle between Mehetab Hussain and Kerala’s Blaster’s Berbatov with Mehetab receiving a yellow card eventually. Mehetab was in the same zone of little rough tackles. One of such came in the 33rd minute on Eugene in the midfield. Eugene was injured because of the clash. He was later substituted as he unable to walk.  This challenge was also ignored by the referee.

End-to-end actions were being witnessed at the JRD Tata Sports Complex as both the teams were eagerly in search of a goal. A final chance of the first half came to the home team in the end of the 1st minute of the added time. A good through ball over the defense line for Belfort seemed like the opening chance, but Jussi Jaaskelainen was alert and came off his line toclear the ball on time.

At half time scores were nil nil.

Second half was kicked-off by the visitors and were again in the attacking mode looking for a goal. Second also was the same as the first half, but the intensity level was little high. More fouls were conceded by either side and neither side were ready to loosen their attacks or defense.

As the game went, in the 69th minute, substitute Conor Thomas took the first shot on goal of the half for the visitors. The shot was well on target, but Subrata was able to push it over for ATK’s corner. In the 78th minute, Prabir Das was booked for an unusual mistake. In the process of claiming a throw-in for his side, he pushed the line’s man arm which line’s man did not tolerant and was given a yellow card for the misbehavior.

In the 82nd minute, Bipin came up with a good cross in from his left flank into ATK’s box. Njazi Kuqi had a golden chance of just tapping it in, but he missed the target completely. The last real chance of the game came in 89th minute when Trindade Goncalves made a good cross in from his left flank to find Azuka. The cross was little far for Azuka to head it in. With this three minutes were added on to the regular 90 minutes. But the neither of the teams were able to score in those added minutes also.

At full-time score board stayed unchanged with, Jamshedpur FC 0-0 ATK scoreline.
