Bengaluru FC played against their debutant partner at Kanteerva Stadium in Bengaluru in the fourth season of the Hero Indian Super League today (21/12/2017).
Bengaluru FC kicked off the first half with a positive note of attacking and forcing Subrata to come into action in the first minute itself. Jamshedpur FC pressed high as Bengaluru tried to settle. A give away by Udanta in the midfield in the 5th minute, created a small chance for the visitors, but was denied by Juanan on the edge of the box.
Bengaluru however looked good on the ball by spreading the game wide and attacking from the wings as usual. Neither of teams made any real attack but both teams made few attempts on the either end. A good skillful play by Miku, in the 18th minute, on the right wing made himself to create space for himself and put in a good cross to fing Sunil on the far post. Sunil’s header was on target, but was headed away for a corner by Jerry on the line.
In the 23rd minute, Paartalu had a golden chance to put home side on the lead. A cross by Edu into the box of Jamshedpur was headed by Paartalu with no real power which made Subrata to come up with a easy save. Jamshedpur struggled to keep the ball to themselves as home side had a good ball possession.
At half time scores were, Bengaluru FC 0-0 Jamshedpur FC.
Visitors started off the second half with immediately going for goal. Jairu couldn’t get a proper cross in and flew it over the goal to give a goalkick to the hosts. 4 minutes after the kick off BFC caused a little danger on visitor’s goal. A strong defense of Jamshedpur cut down the chance with a long clearance.
In the 53rd minute, Belfort had a golden chance to get the lead. But a tough challenge by Khabra and good goalkeeping by Gurpreet denied the visitors. Immediately in the same minute, Farukh was set up by a smooth touch by Belfort. Gurpreet came out again with a good save coming off his line on time. In the 60th minute, a good through ball to Jerry by Belfort allowed him to take shot on far post. But the shot was little too far from the goal. On the other end, home team knocked Jamshedpur’s door with series of attacks. But not chance was converted into a goal.
In the 70th minute, Miku somehow manages to get in a cross to find Dimas. But Dimas couldn’t keep the shot on target. Bengaluru FC still dominated the game with good ball possession.
Sunil had a best opportunity of the game in the 76th minute. But Subrata came up with a spectacular save by putting his body against Sunil’s shot to concede a corner. Substitute Nishu made an immediate impact on the game with getting a chance to get a cross to Miku. But the Miku’s opportunity was cut off again by Bikey.
Rahul brought down Doutie inside the Bengaluru’s box which won a penalty to the visitors. Eventually, Gurpreet was beated on the line by Trindade from the spot. Trindade got his side the lead in the second minute of the added 4 minutes. In the ending minutes, BFC made series of attacks on the visitor’s goal, but however could not get the equalizer and lost their third match of the season.
At full time, score was Bengaluru FC 0-1 Jamshedpur FC.
