Bengaluru FC stays 8 points clear at the top of the table

Bengaluru FC hosted FC Goa in the Hero Indian Super League season 4 at Sree Kanteerva Stadium in Bangalore yesterday (10-02-2018).
Bengaluru Football Club defeated their rivals Goa with a 2-0 finish to ensure that the club stays 8 points clear at the top of the table.
In the powerful high-octane clash between two of the best teams of ISL this season Albert Roca fielded a fairly strong side with the exceptions of Udanta and Miku who had to watch from the dugout.
Both the in-form sides had a good amount of chances to register a goal before Antonio Dovale’s corner at the 35th minute found an unmarked Edu Garcia’s head who dinked it over the Goa defenders into the top left corner of the goal.
The Goa keeper who came up with two great saves from long range efforts by Sunil Chhetri and Lenny Rodrigues couldn’t help the Bengaluru side’s powerful attacks.
82 minutes into the game, Antonio Dovale played another ball through the Goa backline where a confusion within the defence let Dimas loose for a one-on-one with the keeper and he didn’t miss.
This victory for Bengaluru has helped Roca even more as he can now look to rest his players for the AFC Cup matches after confirming a top 4 spot in the league and a path to the play-offs.
