Late goals by the Chennai duo helped Chennaiyin FC register their first win of the campaign.
The bottom two teams clashed at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Monday. With their worst ever starts in the league; Two times champions, Chennai were still hunting for their first win of the season. John Gregory’s team was under a scanner as they had failed to net the ball in their last 4 games this season. Poor finishing at both the ends saw a goalless half.

The hosts took a 1-0 lead in the 92nd minute; however in the 95th minute Hyderabad FC hit back through a corner kick. Abhishek Halder’s looping corner towards the near pole was headed by Mathew Kilgallon.

In the 95th minute Schembri gave Velskis a brilliant run to score the winner for Chennai.
