Last Minute equalizer helps NorthEast continue their unbeaten streak in the Indian Super League.

NorthEast United FC secured a point by the skin of their teeth on Monday against Jamshedpur FC. Both teams move up the ladder; Jamshedpur second on the table, whereas NorthEast United find themselves at the 4th position.

Six minutes into the game, the hosts attacked from the left wing, Farukh Choudhary’s acrobatic attempt marginally missed the goal. Minutes later Sergio Castel’s strike gave the home team a 1-0 advantage at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur. The Spaniard scored his 5th goal in 6 appearances for Jamshedpur this season. Constant attacks from the wings Jamshedpur FC always threatened to double their lead.  In the dying moments of the first half Castel had another opportunity to score from a relatively close range; unfortunately for the hosts he shot it wide of the goal.

The visitors resumed play with an intent to get back into the game. An aggressive approach for NorthEast FC not only saw a lot of ball movement but also saw them committing numerous  fouls. Quick counter attacks looked promising for the visitors and Asamoa Gyan looked in fine form and almost equalized in the 69th minute. Jitendra Singh and Monroy had a very busy game for Jamshedpur FC, clearing a wave of attacks from NorthEast FC. 

90th minute of play saw the biggest twist of the match, Gyan flicked the ball to Panagiotis Triadis who found himself unmarked and struck the ball into the net. The Equalizer stunned the crowd present in the stadium, both sides shared a point each.
